Thursday July 11th – Sunday July 14th 2024:
This four-day, hands-on beginners course, teaches students hard-to-find editing and finishing techniques that you won’t get from watching tutorials online. With an emphasis on outdoor production, learn how to create story lines, edit multi-camera clips, creatively build drama, and export your videos for YouTube, DVD or major networks. Although it is designed for the beginner, this course has proven to be jam packed with information & long days spent in a chair, with an unbelievable result that ends with the sky as the limit, with what your next production will look like.
This course, as all of our courses here at Film The Hunt, prides itself on making sure the students are soaking in the information and truly understanding each step along the way. Having said that, on Day 1, you will learn how and where to start, by covering important steps in file management, file import and the basics of opening the software and getting familiar with it.
We will then move on to the actual process of starting an edit, by dragging files in, trimming them and pulling them into a timeline. Here is where you will start to see your hard work paying off. By the end of the first edit, we will have a short finished video with multiple clips cut to the beat of music.
Throughout the remainder of the course, we will complete additional edits, each allowing us to show you new tips and tricks in Adobe Premiere Pro CC, bringing your edits to life and allowing you to feel comfortable in creating your own productions, and by day 4, you will do just that.
Your final project will be you creating a short production on your own from start to finish with the instructors only there to answer questions and to lend a hand when needed. Later that evening, we will set aside an hour or two to watch everyone’s projects and to answer any last minute questions.
This course has been a proven success for us over the years. Like all of our courses, we have a bunch of fun and no doubt, leave you feeling not only satisfied with the information you have been given and the experience you had, but also, like you have made new friends along the way.
